Energy self-production - The reasons for a choice.
Monvania is an energy-intensive company. To produce, its machines devour large amounts of electricity. If we then consider the times we live in, supply is increasingly problematic.
It is therefore self-evident to strive for own energy production using renewable sources, in particular photovoltaics. And in fact Monvania signed in April this year (2022) - in advance of the emergency that would have occurred later - an order for an 840 kwp plant in the Cividate plant with the aim of covering 10% of the needs.
This is undeniable, but we like to link this investment to two other goals.
The first is competitiveness: given the continuous increases in energy costs, having its own production will allow us to contain at least partially the prices of processing and products.
The second is to contribute to the reduction of the environmental impact that every industrial company is forced to cause. We know how fossil fuels contribute to this impact. Concretely this operation will allow us an emission savings of 665,000 kg per year of carbon dioxide.
We think, in general, that every company has a social responsibility that goes beyond the essential to produce goods and services for its customers.
